Denis O’Hare accepted the award on behalf of the show: „(…) I think True Blood is a fantastic show for a variety of reasons. I love the fact that it has LGBT representation. I like the fact that it’s racially diverse. I like the fact that it’s specieally diverse – we have many species - and most importantly, in (…) TV, we’ ve got working-class people on the show, which is very unusual. We actually have working-class people! I asked Alan Ball, in case we won, to send me something to say ‘cause he is brilliant and I am not and he obliged. So, this is from Mr. Ball himself. He says: I would thank them for recognizing our very positive portrayal of gays and lesbians as bloodthirsty monsters, black magic practitioners, prostitutes and drug dealers.“   Denis O’Hare rocks!
